With generous glazing on three sides it quickly transforms into a home theater with electronic window shades and an emerging screen.

With this reconstruction and revitalization of a Richard Isenhour mid-century modern, our primary goal was to gently expand and modernize while honoring the proportional appeal of the original. Only the stonework and foundation remained after demolition and it was rebuilt “from the ground up“.

This recently completed high performance home sets the automobile aside to elevate the human experience. With triple pane glazing, energy recovery ventilation, and a high performance envelope it is designed to LEED Gold and Passive House standards. An expressive stairwell, complemented by open shelving and innovative lighting, marries form and function and the open plan invites an easy flow from front to back, top to bottom, and between indoor and outdoor living environments.
