Carefully nestled just below the top of a knoll, this plan takes the shape of a lamda. The one story volume, containing public spaces, orients to expansive northerly views and provides access to all sides, including a shaded southerly porch. The two story volume organizes private spaces, and is oriented to optimize gain for the rooftop solar array. Multiple outdoor spaces including roof top decks, and an aggressive ‘green’ agenda (including 30,000 gallons of rainwater retention for irrigation) make for a peaceful, inspiring, and supportive home.
